The Mirage, a iconic Las Vegas hotel and casino with a volcanic theme, closed its doors on July 17, 2024, after 34 years of operation. The closure is to make way for a new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is scheduled to open in 2027. The new resort will include a guitar-shaped hotel tower, similar to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
